I was a little surprised that the parking meters all around the Fens are bedecked with "No parking Sun - Mon" special event notices today in preparation for the Super Bowl, but on reflection it makes sense. The mayor has wanted to keep college students from running amok, but it's just a little odd that the Red Sox aren't playing, and yet the beer trucks were lined up along Brookline Ave this morning restocking for the big day.

In other news, the Fens are excellent for ducks of all types right now. They're everywhere.
